In the previous blogs we have explained the process of bacon Splitting, slicing, checking, stacking and underleaving. For the American and Canadian market, however, there was one more challenge that needed Huub's attention: a machine that puts cardboard under bacon, which is folded over on one side. The so-called L-board.
From 'hands on the line' to fully automatic
Initially, the cards were placed under the bacon manually. Then another machine builder made a machine for it with a storage compartment for 400 cards. This didn't work well, because the machine regularly jammed. Compare this to a printer where the paper gets stuck.... That is very irritating and time-consuming.
That's why we developed an entirely new machine with innovative techniques that delivers. By out of the box thinking, we ensured that all 400 cards came out at a high speed and without any problems. Such a development is a quest that we undertake together with the client. These are challenges that make us happy. And the client then becomes happy with the result. Could it be more splendid?
In the next series of blogs we'll highlight the development of the hamburger line.
