STAT, SAT and FAT: what are they? In a nutshell: it has everything to do with testing machines. The idea for the Sleegers Experience Center arose partly due to a shortage of testing space. One of the reasons was that we were previously unable to test with real fresh products. The test space has to be suitable for that.
Shift of the SAT
When a machine is finished, we build it up in the Sleegers Experience Center. This includes the machines of the manufacturers we work with. This enables us to turn the production line into an optimally functioning entire unit. The R&D teams make sure that everything works properly.
When the client comes to see and test the machine, he can see the entire production line in operation. With his own products. Exactly as he will process them in the factory.
Then the SAT takes place. That is the Site Acceptance Test. This used to take place in the client's factory. However, it is more efficient to perform the SAT in the Experience Center. This is because it is much easier and quicker to adjust and optimize the machines here. Previously, R&D staff had to accompany me to the client's factory, wherever in the world. It is now even possible to do the SAT using video calling.
In the next blog I will explain the FAT.
