That core value 'high-quality' is reflected in the fact that Sleegers machines always meet the strictest requirements. Not only the machines work smoothly, also the team works like a well-oiled machine. Sleegers machines are characterised by their high level of finishing and ease of use. This means that in Engineering we have hygiene design as a starting point. For example; surface treatments, sloping surfaces to prevent standing water and no cables on the outside of the machine where food residues can accumulate. When constructing the machine, we ensure that the cleaning parts can be easily dismantled to make cleaning quick and easy. In addition, we standardise to provide different types of machines with the same parts. As a result, customers need fewer spare parts in stock. 

Helicopter view is essential for high quality

Operations manager Kevin Sterkenburg is responsible for the ongoing business within Sleegers Technique. He keeps a grip on the projects and takes care of the planning. In addition, he gives practical guidance to production, thus forming the link to the engineering department. This happens with every project and service order up to the point of transport. He is also responsible for the purchasing activities, where we constantly keep an eye on delivery time issues and respond accordingly. Kevin also finds it important to blend in with the group and to use your common sense, which will get you a long way. By combining all this, everything falls into place.

Parts suppliers are well aware of the high standards

We check all externally produced parts according to a set protocol. Suppliers are now aware that our standards are high. If a part does not pass our quality control, we send it back.
In addition, every phase in the production process is checked internally according to a fixed checklist. This is the only way we can guarantee the high quality we are known for. The R&D team is always looking for ways to stay ahead of the market. We do this partly through the knowledge we gain from production and/or service. We also often spar with suppliers through good relationships that have been built up. This way we achieve a good and manufacturable part.  This is how we end up with a high-quality and safe machine!
